For the short duration I had the air fryer, its been amazing wings, fish and veggies. after few months, i started to notice the inner coating chipping off. then BAM - RUST in bottom of my basket. So I contacted GOWISE usa about the rusting and this is the response I got.

Great unit, very large basket, you could probably fit a smaller sized whole chicken in it. Exterior footprint is only a little larger than lower capacity models, it’s not huge. Controls are very good, temperature goes from 180F to 400F (YES, 400! Not 390!) in 10-degree increments. And unlike many it actually reaches the advertised temperature.

I loved this oven! Until it stopped working (no heat) after 3 months! I have been trying to get it fixed under warranty for 2 weeks now, without success. Is this always a difficulty when you buy things through Amazon?

Bought this Air Fryer as a replacement for another brand. The concept of air frying is amazing and you will be very happy with the results. BUT and it is a MAJOR ISSUE for me is the unit fry basket began peeling the coating on the inside of the basket. It was mixed in with food as well.

Potential buyers be aware: The glass may be shattered and pop out up to everywhere in your kitchen while cooking.

Can’t say much, but I took the oven out and opened the package. Cleaned the interior as instructed in the manual, then opted to toast the oven at level 7 as instructed for the the final steps in precleaning. Once the timer was done, the oven was emitting a lot of heat (way more than our last electric oven).

After several uses my air fryer still emits such a strong odor of hot plastic I put it in the garage when using it. My husband says the food tastes like burnt plastic. As much as I enjoy cooking with it, he’s right. I like everything about the unit except the taste of burnt plastic on the food. We no longer use it.

I have many ninja products in my home and I love all of them! I am sorry to say I was very disappointed with that strong smell of rubber when I use the ninja air fryer. This fryer performed very well while it was working. I received it as a Christmas gift and used it up until Monday of this week, when it suddenly shut off. I believe the smell was coming from the plastic handle of the basket and it got worse after I pre-heated as the instruction suggested. There are three rubber knots on the inside plate which they strongly recommend you to put it there when air frying. That was surprising to me as there is no information saying it is safe to heat it up.
