These draperies are gorgeous and they definitely block out light. I don’t normally leave reviews however I feel anyone wanting to purchase these should be aware they are toxic, yes…I mean toxic. After hanging them, I began experience breathing problems, severe congestion, and I would wake up all night coughing.

Be careful when washing and drying the curtains. This isn’t stated on the care instructions but hang them fabric side down to dry on your line. Otherwise you’ll end up with having to pull the curtains apart to take them off the line and that destroys the blackout effect.

I have had these curtains since last fall. I hadn’t washed them yet and today I decided to do so. I live in an apartment with a basement laundry room. I took them down, put them in a washer. Per the directions I set it on normal cycle, warm. When I went back down to take them out of the washer they were a big mess, totally ruined.

Low quality garbage. Claiming they’re black out curtains is just false advertising. The sun can still be seen through them. They’re full of runs top to bottom and the stiching is pulled out in some areas at the top. What was almost comical is I noticed something didn’t look right about the center rings.

Cheap mounting bracket plate is garbage. The first one I tried installing snapped like a piece of cheap glass. This is not any type of metal that should be used for this application. Look inside the broken piece and its porous, filled with air bubbles like sourdough bread.

I bought these curtains so that I could hang them outside on my screened in balcony. The color is exactly as shown and they do well with blocking a good portion of the light. These curtains worked great for my balcony, but after 6 months they became filthy and needed to be washed. That’s where everything went to crap!!

I purchased the turquoise color for my twins nutsery. I absolutely love the color but they are no where near black out, which is a total bummer. They definitely should not label them that way :(
I tried to take a picture but it actually looks much darker than it is really standing in the room, but you can kinda get an idea.

Have to return this double rod because the extension rod is placed in the center (see pictures). Wish I knew this before purchasing.
If you need the extension part of this rod, it is placed in the middle so that no matter what, you will be looking at two different size rods right in the middle of the window.
It’s a bad design.

I bought these curtains to block out light as advertised, and they totally miss the mark. They shade the light as any normal heavy fabric might, but you can definitely see lots of daylight through them. I am surprised at all the good reviews. These are NOT blackout curtains. They are nice material and the color is good, but they claim it blocks out 90-100% of light, but look at my photo. It hardly does that. It’s not lined. They’re just regular curtains. The room is darker but definitely not blackout or insulating in any way.
