This is a complete scam. These knives are marketed extremely well towards people who are not Knife Makers or Chefs who know their stuff (I’ll start by admitting that I am one of those people, and I fell for this too. Then after doing research I felt it necessary to rely the information I found to others who might make the same mistake).

After less than a year of use this poorly made knife snapped right in half while trying to cut a turnip in half (mind you this is a Korean turnip). Good thing I use knife safety or I would have easily slit a thumb or my wrist.

First we were charmed by these knives. Very colorful and sharp. But after two weeks of pretty moderate use we’ve got rusty chipped blades. It says Titanium and stainless steel, anodized , I don’t believe it is either one.

We’re returning these.

The knives are good quality but I hate their inflated pricing scam . You can buy these for less than $200 , all over facebook and other dash deals.
Just a note that even though they mention japan all over theor website, these are made in China.
All in all they are definitely worth the $150 to $250 price range .

Having been unable to find what type of steel is used, or even what general category (stainless or high carbon) the steel falls into, and the plethora of words that actually say very little about the knife itself in the companies marketing, I will not be buying any Kamikoto knives.

After under two months of ownership the blade has cracked. I don’t know how it happened per se. the last time I used it was to chop up a slab of bacon. I rinsed it, threw a little oil on it as you do and put it into the sheath. Went to use this morning and it has a crack and separation.
