It is easy to think that these glasses are made of crystal, since this company and this pattern have long been associated with 24% lead crystal. But in 2010 Crystal D’arques introduced a lead-free glass they call DIAMAX. It’s quite pretty but it’s not crystal. It doesn’t have the weight or ring of crystal.

I purchased these for a party. We unpacked the glasses and placed them on a tray and put on our designated beverage table outside. The temperature was about 84-86. Within a few minutes the glasses started to ‘melt’ and became deformed and would not stand upright. We had to run out and purchase a sufficient number of acrylic glasses for our party.
